Situation: When I go to System Centre to activate my copy of Windows 8, and pre-entered my product key, but I get “Windows cannot be activated”. Error code is 0x8007007B.
Solution

Step 1. Turn to “Run” window by any of the following methods.
- In the desktop mode, right click the lower left corner and choose “Run”
- Press Windows + R from either the start screen or the desktop mode
Step 2. Open “Windows Activation” window.
Key in “slui3” in the “Open” tab and click the “OK” button.
Step 3. Activate Windows 8 by correct product key.
Enter the right product key in “Product key” tab in “Windows Activation” window and click the “Activate” button.
Step 4. Error is fixed.
You will get “Thanks, you’re all finished” to show the problem has been solved.
